SRS Inc. names Gary Scott Regional Director of Operations
Gary brings to SRS, Inc. 18 years of experience in the hospitality and multi-family housing industries.
He spent 10 years with Radisson Hotels International (downtown Atlanta), which boasted 757 guest rooms & suites, three food and beverage outlets, and eighty three thousand square feet of convention and meeting room space. During his time with Radisson, he held the positions of Director of Loss Prevention, Front Office Manager, and Director of Guest Services. He spent five years with Suburban Lodges of America as Mid-West Regional Operations Manager. Gary’s area of responsibility covered Texas, Colorado, and Utah. Just prior to coming on board with SRS, Gary worked with Julian LeCraw & Company for three years as a Multi-site Community Manager where he managed 5 garden style communities and one high-rise location in the Atlanta area representing approximately 2,000 units.
Gary’s daily responsibilities include leading all Gulf Coast Area FEMA operations for SRS Inc.
Gary attended the Atlanta College of Art for three years where he majored in graphic design. His hobbies include Golf, fishing, hunting, reading motivational books and attending various professional sporting events.

SRS Inc. awarded 5 year $100 Million FEMA contract

GALLATIN, TN. – SRS Inc. was recently awarded contracts with a max. value of $104 Million by the Dept. of Homeland Security’s FEMA division in support of Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees in Louisiana.
SRS Inc. will be responsible for the Maintenance, Deactivation, Hauling and Installing of Temporary Housing for impacted residents. Lease-In services will also be provided by the company.
“We have set up operations and rapidly deployed the right leadership and staff to the impacted areas around New Orleans and Lake Charles, LA to ensure that this project runs smoothly,” said Dewayne Scott, President and CEO of SRS Inc. “This effort feels good in a variety of ways,” said Monte Edwards, Executive Vice President. “It’s an excellent business win for us but more importantly a way that we can give back to the people impacted by the devastation of such unexpected disasters. In fact, we hired Dr. Benjamin Roberts (a TN based Licensed Therapist) and San Francisco, CA based Dr. Brenda Wade (a nationally known author, speaker, television host and clinical psychologist who has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show multiple times, Good Morning America, ABC News with Peter Jennings and others) to facilitate a 2-day workshop for our recently hired impacted employees to help them “heal” from the Post Traumatic Stress involved.”

SRS Inc. names Fred Gaston Regional Director of Human Resources
Fred brings broad skills, knowledge and abilities to SRS, Inc. Fred spent 18 years with Kroger Food Stores (a $60 Billion company) where he held a variety of positions including operations manager, middle manager and senior manager. He was also previously employed as a Senior Employee Relations Specialist with Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. Fred has a wide variety of experience in the areas of employee relations and labor relations.
Fred holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Middle Tennessee State University and has completed programs including the Human Resource Executive Program at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business Executive Business Center.
Fred is a board member of the King’s Daughter’s Day Home in Nashville which services low income families in the local community and is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has previously served his community via work through United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Rotary International and the local chamber of commerce.
Fred is responsible for all facets of Human Resources for SRS, Inc.

GALLATIN, TN. – Monte A. Edwards has been named Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for SRS Inc. He will be leading all facets of Marketing and Business Development along with spearheading new operations in the Greensboro, NC and Atlanta, GA areas as base locations for SRS Inc.'s enhanced presence in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the country.
Edwards brings Fortune 250 executive level experience to the SRS leadership team. He spent 15 years in the fast growing telecommunications industry and most recently held Vice President and General Manager positions for Alltel Corp. and GTE Wireless Corp. Other positions during his tenure include Product Marketing, Customer Service, Sales Support, National Sales/Accounts, Carrier Alliances, and Market Research. “We are excited to bring Monte to the SRS executive team and know that he will help steer us through this period of our rapid growth,” said Dewayne Scott, President of SRS Inc.
A graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in management, Edwards is a native of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. and enjoys serving the community thru present/past local Board of Directorships with the United Way, Salvation Army, Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Junior Achievement and Cornell Alumni Association. SRS, Inc. will be responsible for the Deactivation, Hauling and Installing of Temporary Housing for impacted residents throughout the state of Louisiana. The company’s 1st year operations were primarily in the SW portion of the state.

Vincent Malone, Esq. joins SRS Inc. as Director of Safety, Risk and Compliance |
| GALLATIN, TN. – SRS, Inc. recently added Vincent Malone, Esq. as Director of Safety, Risk and Compliance. In his new role, Malone’s responsibilities will include developing internal procedures and activities that support the company’s construction safety program, initiating strategy to reduce risk and for ensuring measures to comply with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agencies that impact the company. Vincent will also work closely with the Director of Human Resources to develop programs as it relates to compliance, education and training, developing and implementing policies to insure the company adheres to Federal, state and local regulations.
Vincent brings knowledge, experience and added credibility to the SRS organization. He has 10 plus years of experience in the areas that include State and Federal laws and how they affect businesses strategies, fraud investigations and Risk Management. Vincent has worked in the Healthcare field and also as a State Attorney.
Vincent received his JD from the University of Florida, College of Law in Gainesville, Florida, and Bachelor of Arts degree from David Lipscomb University in Nashville. He has served his community as a member of the Executive Committee for the United Way, Health Impact Council, Leadership Arlington, and as a Career Development Mentor. Malone has also served as a peer councilor and Youth Mentor in the Middle Tennessee area.

GALLATIN, TN. – SRS, Inc. added Corey Avens to its Construction division as Regional Project Manager for North Carolina and surrounding areas. In his new role, Avens’ responsibilities will include project cost estimating, project management, contract administration, quality control and safety management. Corey will be based in Jacksonville, North Carolina and will also be responsible for business development throughout the state.
Corey brings knowledge, experience and added credibility to the SRS organization. He has 10 years of experience in the construction management industry, with various certifications and professional affiliations. While working as a Civil, Structural and Construction Engineer, he was involved in design, inspections and engineering services for private sector commercial, residential, pre-manufactured facilities, and other real property.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a BS in Systems Engineering, Corey is also a member of the Professional Engineers of North Carolina, National Societies of Professional Engineers and Society of American Military Engineers. He is also certified as a Civil Engineers Corps Officer and holds a North Carolina General Contractor’s license

Michael Johnson joined SRS, Inc. as Projects Administrator

GALLATIN, TN. – Michael Johnson joined SRS, Inc. as Projects Administrator. His responsibilities will include managing all Project Managers and coordinating administrative procedures for construction projects for the company.
Michael brings to SRS a surplus of management and sales experience at the District, Regional and National levels. His extensive experience in consultative sales, profit & loss management and engineering will provide another competitive advantage for SRS. Michael’s previous employment includes General Motors, United States Air Force and Pepsi Cola Company. Prior to joining the SRS team, Michael held the post of Regional Account Director for National Cinemedia, Inc.
Michael served eight years in the Air Force working in various capacities within Civil Engineering as a surveyor, design support section supervisor and project manager. Michael received numerous awards and recognition during his military career and he was a Distinguish Graduate from the Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership School, with special recognition for excellence in public speaking. Michael graduated with honors from Park College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.
