SRS Inc. awarded 5 year $100 Million FEMA contract
GALLATIN, TN. – SRS Inc. was recently awarded contracts with a max. value of $104 Million by the Dept. of Homeland Security’s FEMA division in support of Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees in Louisiana.
SRS Inc. will be responsible for the Maintenance, Deactivation, Hauling and Installing of Temporary Housing for impacted residents. Lease-In services will also be provided by the company.
“We have set up operations and rapidly deployed the right leadership and staff to the impacted areas around New Orleans and Lake Charles, LA to ensure that this project runs smoothly,” said Dewayne Scott, President and CEO of SRS Inc. “This effort feels good in a variety of ways,” said Monte Edwards, Executive Vice President. “It’s an excellent business win for us but more importantly a way that we can give back to the people impacted by the devastation of such unexpected disasters. In fact, we hired Dr. Benjamin Roberts (a TN based Licensed Therapist) and San Francisco, CA based Dr. Brenda Wade (a nationally known author, speaker, television host and clinical psychologist who has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show multiple times, Good Morning America, ABC News with Peter Jennings and others) to facilitate a 2-day workshop for our recently hired impacted employees to help them “heal” from the Post Traumatic Stress involved.”
